Everyone Love's Our Angling Opportunities

Canada North Lodge is located 240 miles North of International Falls, MN in Northwestern Ontario on the Woman River Chain of Lakes. This lake chain consists of eight (8) interconnected lakes with fifty (50) miles of navigable water. A vast unspoiled lake chain which is remote and isolated. No heavy angling pressure. Not lodges upon lodges, cabins upon cabins, or boats upon boats. The lakes are long and narrow, depths vary from shallow to 130', and are well structured with many points, reefs, islands, river inlets and river outlets. None of the lakes are real large or wide which provide good fishing even on the windiest of days. Truly a fisherman's dream comes true.

The (8) Lakes on the Woman River Lake Chain interconnected, south to north as follow: Little Bear Lake - Loon Lake - Middle Lake - Big Bear Lake - Little Woman Lake - Big Woman Lake - Swain Lake - Washagomis Lake

Everyone always ask about the BIG fish and we have lots of them, Walleyes up to 9#, Northern Pike up to 25#, & Lake Trout up to 22#. Our list of BIG fish released in 2004 was unbelievable. The best part is that these fish are still there, alive and well.

Then for the adventuresome, add 10 portage lakes to the opportunities available. The portage trips are short, (1/4 mile or less), boats and motors are on site, all you need is your gear. Our daily fly-in trips depart after breakfast and arrive back in time for dinner. We select a remote lake where your day will be filled with memories and fish stories even the barber won't believe. We firmly believe that we have some of the best fishing to be found in North America. Our guest are extremely happy with the number of fish caught and trophy fish are caught on a regular basis . . you do not have to be a "pro" to catch one. . all our large fish are live released.
